Colorful garden inspired wedding at Bedford Village Inn

I am incredibly honored to be a part of Gabby and Robert’s wedding day at the Bedford Village Inn, which was featured in Style Me Pretty! As a New England Wedding planner, I helped Gabby and Robert plan a summer wedding that was rustic-chic and colorful! The entire day was garden-inspired with whimsical touches to match the aesthetic of the Bedford Village Inn.

Luxury New England Wedding Planner

The Bedford Village Inn is located in the southern part of New Hampshire near Merrimack. This venue is great for its historic New England charm paired with modern amenities. We started the day getting ready at the hotel on the property. I worked alongside this incredible vendor team to prepare for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour in the lush garden and reception in the Great Hall.

From the beginning of the planning process, Gabby talked about wanting her bridesmaids to be in fun-colored dresses that matched the color palette of the wedding. She wanted a mix of vibrant summer colors and different styles for the girls to bring out the colorful summer inspiration of the wedding day! The bridesmaids were able to choose their dresses and styles with certain colors in mind, the result was perfection!

Garden-Inspired Florals for a New England Summer Wedding

The inspiration behind this summer wedding was a deep love for nature’s vibrant beauty. Drawing inspiration from locally grown flowers, the couple envisioned a celebration bursting with color and life. We worked closely with Grace of PrimRose Floral & Event Design as the florist for the event. We chose to work with her for her soft and whimsical style and ability to create delicate and romantic-looking blooms.

It was important to Gabby to have everything be cohesive through the design. Grace selected an abundance of snapdragons, scabiosa, zinnias, feverfews, and garden roses to evoke the playful elegance of a summer garden in full bloom. The desire to infuse the day with warmth and joy led to a wedding that felt both timeless and delightfully unique. This was a true reflection of their love story.

Reception Decor for a Bedford Village Inn Reception

The Great Hall reception space has a lot of charm and character with wood accents throughout and high ceilings. Their family and friends were welcomed into the reception with a pressed flower deconstructed seating chart created by Grady Letters. The delicate flowers in these signage designs truly continued a garden-inspired vibe making every piece of the decor cohesive and thoughtfully planned and designed!

We created a soft and romantic feel with twinkle lights from the New England Holiday Light Co. and added champagne-colored drapery throughout the reception space. The guest tables featured a variety of centerpieces, including tall arrangements, low designs, and trios of bud vases. To add a rustic touch, the low centerpieces and bud vases were set on wooden slabs and paired with petite gold votives. Blush-colored taper candles graced the tall centerpiece tables and the sweetheart table, creating a soft, romantic atmosphere. Each place setting included wooden Tondo chargers and pink Debutante goblets from Peak Event Services. I especially loved the thoughtful touch of a sweet thank you note placed on each guest’s menu.

Thank you Gabby and Robert for trusting me with your vision! This whimsical and elegant summer wedding was so much fun! Be sure to check out our feature on Style Me Pretty
